Owner Jim Manley searched the American West

for 20 years to find the perfect ranch.

Located in the heart of Western Montana, The Ranch at Rock Creek is the world’s first Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star ranch and the only US charter member of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World collection. Owner Jim Manley searched the American West for 20 years to find the perfect ranch. Originally a working ranch homesteaded in the early 1900’s, he opened it as an all-inclusive guest ranch in 2010.

They’ve spent the last seven years expanding the frontiers of luxury travel with their one-of-a-kind accommodations, extensive amenities, inventive cuisine and access to over 20 guided outdoor activities on 6,600 acres of mountains, meadows, forests, trout ponds and a mountain-fed creek.

Nestled in one of Montana’s most pristine valleys, The Ranch at Rock Creek offers year-round unique vacations on an authentic 19th century homestead. They balance Western adventure with lavish all-inclusive amenities. Start the day with inspired Ranch cuisine, then learn to fly fish on a Blue Ribbon trout stream. Experience awe-inspiring views from The Top of the World on horseback and drift off in a bespoke glamping tent under the Big Sky. For those looking for the most exclusive way to experience ranch life, find out about private travel with them.

Their 29 one-of-a-kind accommodations, which can host up to 125 guests during our summer season, are thoughtfully woven into the The Ranch’s landscape. Ranging in size from one-bedroom suites to five-bedroom homes, they offer four distinct styles of lodging: Granite Lodge suites, a converted Historic Barn, Luxury Homes and Canvas Cabins for glamping. The design echoes home more than hotel – with deluxe amenities, custom furniture and decor that showcases a distinctive Western heritage.

  • History | The Ranch at Rock Creek was originally homesteaded in the early 1900’s.

  • Accommodations | Maximum capacity is 125 guests, with 29 accommodations, from one-room suites to five-bedroom log homes.

  • All-Inclusive | Rates are inclusive of accommodations, amenities, all meals and beverages, guided activities and more.

  • Activities | They operate year-round, with a plethora of distinctive Western activities available each season.

  • Dining | Executive Chef Drage’s menus change daily, always featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and nightly dining experiences.

  • Weddings & Events | The Ranch hosts intimate weddings, special events and corporate retreats by custom arrangement.

  • Families | The Ranch is a wonderful place to gather to create new memories, and children explore The Ranch with special activities as part of the Little Grizzlies Kids Club (ages 4-12).

  • Seasonal Celebrations | Holidays feature additions like barn dances, stagecoach tours, sleigh rides and rodeos.
