The Ultimate Experience for Nature Lovers...
in the Most Biodiverse Place on the Planet
In the middle of the Amazon Rainforest, within the Yasuní National Park, there is a place where tourism mixes with the most beautiful songs of nature and the ancient culture of the Amazon people.
Napo Wildlife Center is an ecological complex built with traditional Kichwa architecture, owned and managed by the Añangu Indigenous Community. This exclusive place has 20 private cabins, where 12 are standard and 8 are luxury suites. The cabins are decorated with local art and all have private bathrooms with hot water, are fully equipped with ventilation, electricity, safe box, mosquito net and a balcony with hammock, featuring the most incredible views of the jungle and the Añangu lagoon.
Into the Wilderness
From the capital city of Quito, a 30 minute flight will bring you over the Eastern Andes mountain range to the city of Coca. Known as the "Gateway to the Amazon" since Francisco de Orellana's expedition here in 1541, it is conveniently located at the confluence of the Coca River and the Napo River.
A modern covered motorboat will take you on a comfortable 2.5 hour ride from the port of La Misión to the Napo Wildlife Center welcome station in Yasuní National Park. From there, we transfer to dugout canoes operated by expert guides in order to quietly paddle up Añangu Creek. This peaceful leg of the trip will lead us through undisturbed habitat which allows guests their first glimpses of incredible wildlife like the Hoatzin. As we enter Añangu Lake and approach the Napo Wildlife Center ecolodge, be prepared to be struck with awe as you soak up the magical vista!
The Most Biodiverse Place on the Planet.
There are so many incredible creatures pre-dating human history who call this rainforest home. Whether you are an avid birdwatcher with many more feathered wonders left on your wish list or are hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the majestic cats who slink down to the river for a drink, this is the place for you.
It would be impossible to see everything there is to be seen here in the span of even one lifetime alone! The local Kichwa people have belonged to this territory for upwards of 500 years, and know the jungle's secrets like the back of their hands. Let the hospitality of your new-found friends open your eyes to the wonders of life in the old-growth rainforest without sacrificing any of the pleasures of modern life and luxury.

Their Eco Story
More than 20 years ago, the Añangu Community, democratically decided to stop hunting, fishing and cutting down trees. They bet for tourism as the way to obtain the resources they need and as the path to protect the Amazon and their culture. During this time, all gains have been invested in Community projects as the local school, the local health center, solar panels, water cleaning, housing financing and more.
The Napo Wildlife Center is a good example of an ecotourism project. The community has invested in a unique environmental system, probably the most advanced in the Amazon. All wastewater is processed to keep the wetlands clean. Energy is generated by solar panels, industrial batteries and silent generators, which is an efficient system with minimal impact in the environment.
Bespoke Jungle Lodging
A paradise for nature lovers, Napo Wildlife Center is an exceptional example of a grassroots eco-tourism project. As a responsible and sustainable enterprise, we continuously invest in environmentally conscious infrastructure. Our efforts are among the best and most advanced in all of Amazonia.
Energy is generated by solar panels, industrial batteries, and silent generators, which is an efficient system with minimal environmental impact. All water is appropriately processed to maintain a healthy biome. Every aspect of life has been considered with both our guests and Mother Nature in mind
